Street Case - David Ismail

One quarter of the world live in inadequate shelter, with 105,000 living in Australia. Each day 315 people are turned away from emergency relief shelters and the homeless population has increased by 15% in the last 5 years.

The Street Case relieves the discomfort found when experiencing homelessness. It is a suitcase that converts into portable shelter and stores all personal possessions in a neat, safe and secure place. The professional styling of the Street Case provides the confidence for individuals to have a job interview and feel they won’t be overlooked given their circumstances. The Street Case can be used outdoors with a cover, to provide protection from the elements, as well as indoors, for those that couch surf and find it uncomfortable to sleep on hard and oddly shaped lounges. The Street Case is designed to reduce the stigma associated with being homeless and provide an opportunity to improve lives.
